SilentXMR terms of service for Monero (XMR) swaps

The service

SilentXMR swaps BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDT (ERC-20, TRC-20, SPL) and USDC (ERC-20, SPL) to and from Monero (XMR). Every swap starts or ends in XMR. There is no account: each swap is an order with its own order ID.

No identity checks, ever

We never ask for your name, email address, identity documents, a selfie or any other identity information, for a swap or for a refund. The only time we see an email address is when you choose to write to support.

Rate and quote

• The rate is Kraken's last traded price for both coins, minus a 0.5% spread. You see the exact amount before you create the order.
• The quote is locked for 30 minutes from the moment you create the order. If you send your deposit within those 30 minutes, you get the quoted amount, even if the price moves before the deposit confirms.
• A deposit sent after the 30 minutes is swapped at the market rate (Kraken's last price minus 0.5%) when we process it.
• You pay the network fee for sending your deposit, as with any transfer.

Limits

The minimum is $50 worth of the coin you send. For more than $50,000, contact support before you send.

How orders are processed

Deposits are checked and payouts are sent by hand, so a swap is not instant and times vary. Your order page shows the status we set and, once paid out, the payout transaction ID. The status only changes when we update it.

Your deposit and your receiving address

• Send the exact amount of the coin and network shown on your order to the deposit address on that order.
• If you send a different amount, we process the amount received at your order's rate (or at the market rate if it was sent after the 30 minutes). If that isn't possible, we refund it as described below.
• You are responsible for the receiving address you enter. A payout sent to the address on your order is final.
• Anyone with your order ID can see your order page, so keep it private.

Refunds

• Whenever a deposit can be refunded, we refund it minus the network fee for sending it back. This covers deposits below the minimum, amounts we cannot process, and deposits sent after an order was cancelled.
• To get a refund, email service@silentxmr.com with your order ID and the address to refund to. Refunds never require ID.
• Coins sent to an address that is not ours, or on a network where we cannot reach them, are lost and cannot be refunded. Always check the coin, network and address on your order.

Availability

We may pause the service or decline an order, for example when a coin network has problems. If we decline an order after receiving your deposit, we refund it minus the network fee.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. A swap follows the terms in force when its order was created.
