SimpleSwap alternative for swapping Monero (XMR)
SimpleSwap is a swap aggregator with thousands of coins. SilentXMR only swaps to and from Monero. Here is how they compare, using SimpleSwap's own terms and policies.
The short version
- SimpleSwap: 2,800+ coins from 20+ liquidity providers, no sign-up needed for most services, fixed or floating rates, iOS and Android apps, and card purchases through partners. Its KYC policy says no-KYC swaps apply only to low-risk cases and that it may require KYC on any transaction.
- SilentXMR: Monero only, a fixed 0.5% spread on Kraken's price, locked with no expiry, and no name, email address or ID requested.
- Pick SimpleSwap for coin choice, apps and fiat. Pick SilentXMR for an XMR swap with a known spread and a quote that does not run out.

What SimpleSwap is
SimpleSwap describes itself as a self-custodial, multi-source swap aggregator: it draws liquidity from more than 20 centralized and decentralized exchanges and supports more than 2,800 coins. Its terms call it non-custodial, meaning it does not provide accounts to store funds and does not hold user funds unless a legal requirement applies. An account is optional and is used for its loyalty program. It works on the web, iOS and Android, and fiat purchases run through third-party payment providers.
You can pick a fixed or a floating rate. A fixed rate stays unchanged for 20 minutes, and your deposit has to get at least one confirmation within that window. If it arrives later and the rate has changed, the swap is marked failed and refunded, or completed at the new rate. SimpleSwap says its pricing does not use a traditional percentage fee, so no fee percentage is published.
SimpleSwap's KYC/AML policy (updated 30 October 2025) says its no-KYC approach applies only to cases identified as low risk, and that it may at its discretion require KYC on any transaction. Checks can include proof of identity, source of funds and a liveness (selfie) check, and a transaction can be frozen during a review.
