SideShift and Monero (XMR): not supported, and an alternative
SideShift.ai is a no-sign-up crypto swap service, but Monero is not on it. If you came looking for a SideShift XMR swap, here is what we found and how to swap to or from XMR instead.
The short version
- SideShift does not list XMR. Its public API returned 202 coins on 18 October 2026, none of them Monero, and a BTC to XMR pair request returns "Settle method is disabled".
- SideShift still swaps 200+ other coins without sign-up, with 15-minute fixed quotes or variable rates.
- For XMR, SilentXMR swaps BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC and SOL to and from Monero with no account, at Kraken's price minus 0.5%, locked with no expiry.

What SideShift is
SideShift.ai describes itself as a direct-to-wallet crypto exchange: you send coins and it pays out to your wallet, without sign-up. Its terms say it does not provide custodial services. An account ID is assigned automatically when you create a shift, and SideShift has its own token, XAI. It is operated by Paradigm Ltd.
Monero is not on SideShift. On 18 October 2026 its public coin list contained 202 coins and no XMR, and requests for BTC to XMR or XMR to BTC returned "Settle method is disabled" and "Deposit method is disabled". We found no announcement from SideShift about removing it, so we can't tell you when or why it went.
For the coins it does support, SideShift offers a fixed rate that is locked for 15 minutes, or a variable rate that applies the live rate whenever you deposit. Its docs say fees are already included in the rate shown and depend on the coin pair and market conditions; no percentage is published. Its risk management policy says flagged deposits are reviewed, and users whose deposits are flagged as serious must complete verification before a refund.

When SideShift may suit you better
- You are swapping between coins other than XMR: SideShift supports 200+.
- You want an automated swap, and a 15-minute fixed quote is enough time for you.
- You are swapping small amounts: its default minimum is about $3.
When SilentXMR may suit you better
- You need Monero. SideShift does not support it; on SilentXMR every pair starts or ends in XMR.
- You want a quote that stays locked until your deposit confirms, with no 15-minute limit.
- You want a service that asks for no name, email address or ID.
Swapping to or from XMR instead
Pick the coin you were going to send on SideShift (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC or SOL), enter your Monero address and send the exact amount to the deposit address on your order. To go the other way, flip the swap card and enter the address where you want to receive BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC or SOL.

Questions
Does SideShift support Monero?
No. On 18 October 2026 SideShift's public coin list had no XMR, and its API reports XMR pairs as disabled. SilentXMR swaps BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC and SOL to and from XMR.
When did SideShift remove Monero?
SideShift hasn't published a notice that we could find, so we can't give a date or a reason. What we can confirm is that XMR is not listed today.
Can I swap XMR to BTC the way I did on SideShift?
Yes, on SilentXMR. Choose XMR as the coin you send and BTC as the coin you get, enter your Bitcoin address, and send the XMR to the deposit address on your order. See XMR to BTC.
How long does a SideShift fixed quote last?
Its help center says a fixed rate is locked for 15 minutes. SilentXMR's rate is locked when you create the order and has no expiry.
Does SideShift require KYC?
Not for normal use, but its risk management policy says users whose deposits are flagged as serious must complete verification before their refund is processed. SilentXMR does not ask for a name, email address or ID. Questions go to service@silentxmr.com.
