How to buy XMR (Monero) in the UK
None of the UK platforms we checked sells Monero for pounds, but the big ones all sell coins you can swap into it. Here is the two-step route most UK buyers use, with what each platform offers, checked on its own site.

Can you buy XMR with pounds on a UK platform?
We checked each platform's own market data and support pages on 18 October 2026. None of those whose own pages say they serve UK customers had XMR for UK users.

- BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC or SOL in, XMR out to your address. Or the other way round.
Step 2: swap it to XMR
- Get a Monero wallet. Feather, Cake Wallet and the Monero GUI wallet all work. Write down the seed and copy a receive address starting with 4 or 8. See Monero wallets compared.
- Create a swap. In the swap card, pick the coin you bought and its network, paste your Monero address and create the order. You see the XMR you'll get, at Kraken's last price minus 0.5%, locked for 30 minutes.
- Send the exact amount from your platform to the deposit address on your order. Some platforms take their fee out of the amount you send, so check that what arrives matches your order.
- Receive XMR. Once your deposit confirms, the XMR is sent to your wallet by hand and the payout transaction appears on your order page. Keep your order ID.
Pick the right network
Send on the network your order shows. USDT can be swapped here on Tron (TRC-20), Ethereum (ERC-20) or Solana, and USDC on Ethereum or Solana, so choose the option your platform sends on. Revolut, for example, says it sends USDT on Ethereum and Tron, and USDC on Ethereum. LTC and SOL are cheap to send, which helps with smaller amounts; the minimum swap is $50.

Can I buy Monero in the UK?
Not directly for pounds on the UK platforms we checked on 18 October 2026. The usual route is to buy BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDT or USDC with GBP, then swap it to XMR.
Can I buy XMR on Kraken in the UK?
No. Kraken's support pages say UK clients cannot deposit or trade XMR. You can buy the other coins on Kraken with pounds and swap one of them to XMR.
Does Coinbase UK sell Monero?
No. XMR is not in Coinbase's supported crypto. Coinbase does sell BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDT and USDC for pounds, and all of them can be swapped to XMR here.
Which coin should I buy to swap into XMR?
Any of BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDT or USDC. LTC and SOL cost little to send. If you use USDT or USDC, make sure your platform sends it on a network we support.
How much XMR do I get for £100?
